While the height of summer brings lots of fun outdoor activities and adventures, recent heat waves across the United States have presented challenges for those trying to stay cool. As you prepare to make the most of your summer, faculty urge you to be aware of the weather conditions. To help you stay safe, two professors from Quinnipiac School of Health Sciences share their advice for navigating the high temperatures.

Filled with firsts, Orientation experience helps launch Class of 2030
Mindfully designed and filled with firsts, Quinnipiac’s Orientation experience is helping to launch the Class of 2030 on a trajectory of academic success and personal growth. On June 17 and June 18, the fourth of six two-day Orientation sessions taking place in June brought together new Bobcats on the Mount Carmel Campus.

Orientation fuels momentum as new Bobcats begin their academic journey
The impact of Orientation fueled the momentum of the official start for Quinnipiac’s Class of 2030 during a highly attended two-day session on June 15 and June 16. Arriving for the third of six Orientation sessions offered this month, hundreds of new students surging onto the Mount Carmel Campus represented the largest Orientation group so far, said Monique Drucker, vice president and dean of students.

Quinnipiac student engagement supports earning higher GPAs
Across Quinnipiac, student leaders are demonstrating that student engagement is synonymous with academic excellence. For the spring 2026 semester, these exceptional Bobcats collectively achieved a 3.52 GPA average, well above the 3.28 GPA all-student average.
