“Over the last three years, the faculty at the School of Nursing have undergone a transformation in how we develop and teach innovative, competency-based nursing curricula across all of our programs,” said Larry Slater, dean of the School of Nursing. “This recognition highlights their countless hours committed to reimagining our classrooms, skills and simulation labs and clinical experiences, incorporating evidence-based teaching and learning principles essential to developing today's practice-ready nursing workforce. I couldn't be prouder of them.”
The prestigious designation recognizes Quinnipiac’s dedication to excellence and innovation in nursing education. Quinnipiac is among 20 nursing schools and programs selected nationally as 2026 NLN Centers of Excellence.
Quinnipiac’s designation is in the area of “Promotes the Pedagogical Expertise of Faculty,” recognizing the School of Nursing’s commitment to developing and supporting faculty expertise in teaching and learning.
"This designation reflects something that we take seriously at Quinnipiac School of Nursing,” said Lisa Rebeschi, senior associate dean and professor of nursing. “Great nursing education begins with investing in great faculty. Being recognized by the National League for Nursing for pedagogical expertise of our faculty is a tremendous honor and it belongs to every faculty member who has dedicated themselves to growing as an academic nurse educator.”

The NLN noted that the designation reflects the hard work and commitment of nursing schools and programs to sustain innovation and excellence throughout the academic experience, from the classroom to clinical education and campus life.
The formal recognition will take place during the Honors Convocation at the 2026 NLN Education Summit in Washington, D.C., on Friday, September 25.
