The Association of Chief Academic Officers (ACAO) provides a global forum for sharing best practices, discussing current academic issues in light of societal challenges and promoting the educational and organizational interests of member institutions.
“I am honored by this recognition from peers across higher education,” Liebowitz said. “It is gratifying to be elected by colleagues who share a commitment to advancing student success and strengthening the impact of higher education. Professionally, it offers an opportunity to shape national conversations about the future of higher education and to support the critical role academic leaders play in navigating a rapidly changing landscape.”
Her board service will also strengthen Quinnipiac’s engagement with academic leaders from institutions across the country, creating opportunities to exchange ideas and explore innovative approaches to academic leadership.
“One of the aspects of ACAO I value most is the opportunity to learn alongside academic leaders who are deeply committed to student success, innovation in teaching and learning and improving outcomes for students,” said Liebowitz. “Serving on the board will allow me to engage more closely with emerging ideas and promising practices from institutions across the country.”
Liebowitz said she also hopes her board service will benefit Quinnipiac students.
“Through this role, I hope to bring new ideas and promising practices back to Quinnipiac as we build on our strengths in experiential learning, career-connected education and interdisciplinary problem-solving while preparing students to lead and thrive in a rapidly changing world,” she said.
