Dr. Ilene L. Rosenberg, professor of medical sciences, has been honored with the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Physicians’ Laureate Award, the chapter’s highest honor.

The Laureate Award recognizes physicians who demonstrate an enduring commitment to excellence in medical care, education or research, as well as service to their community, the ACP chapter and the profession of internal medicine.

The recognition is particularly meaningful because it reflects the breadth of Rosenberg’s contributions—not simply as a physician, but as an educator, mentor and leader committed to developing the next generation of physicians. At Netter, Rosenberg serves as the school’s student liaison to the Connecticut ACP chapter, connecting medical students with the professional community of internal medicine.

For the School of Medicine, Rosenberg’s recognition is also a reflection of the values the school seeks to instill in its students. Netter emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, integrity, academic excellence, scholarship and social responsibility, with a mission of preparing physicians to serve both their communities and the profession.
