So Many Options Available to You
You can change your dining plan on the MyHousing website. Dining plans are assigned when invoices are available for the upcoming term and can be changed up until the end of the add/drop registration period of the term, which is Friday, August 28 for the Fall 2026 term.
To view or change a dining plan, please:
Select "Dining" and then select "Dining Plans"
Select the current term and then select "Change my Meal Plan"
Select the desired dining plan from the list of available dining plans and click "Purchase Meal Plan"
Please allow 24-48 hours for meal plan changes to update on the student invoice. Please check your invoice approximately two days after a meal plan change.
If you have an owing balance, please make a payment.
If you are due a refund, please know that refunds are processed approximately two weeks after the start of the semester. The fastest way to get a refund is to sign up for direct deposit

If you have earned any college credit (AP, IB, ECE, dual enrollment), be sure to send your scores or final grades to our Admissions office so we can process your transfer credit. AP scores should be sent directly through College Board. View our AP equivalency chart to determine if you will receive credit for your scores. If you earned credit through a college or university, you will need to request your final transcript and have it sent to Admissions (admissions@qu.edu). Grades of C or above will be considered for transfer credit.
Keep checking your Quinnipiac email throughout the summer. If you earn transfer credit for a course you are registered to take in the fall, you will receive an email with instructions about changing your fall schedule.
Throughout the past week, our Academic Coaches have been hearing a few common questions from incoming students. Here are some quick answers that may help:
Will I have enough time to get from one class to another?
Yes. If you are taking classes on the Mount Carmel Campus, you will have enough time to travel between classes. Even the longest walk on campus, between the Communications, Computing & Engineering building (CCE) and the College of Arts & Sciences building 3 (CAS-3), can be completed within the time built into the class schedule.
Who should I talk to about changing my major?
If you already know which major you'd like to switch to, your best next step is to connect directly with that school or college. If you're still exploring your options or aren't sure what major is the right fit, your Academic Coach is a great resource and can help you think through your choices and identify next steps. You will have an email from your Academic Coach from earlier this summer, or you can reach out to LearningCommons@quinnipiac.edu.
When will I know if my AP or transfer credits have been applied?
Once AP scores or transfer transcripts are received, your academic program will review them and make any necessary updates to your record. If you have questions about the status of your credits, you can follow up directly with your school or college via email.
Remember, your Academic Coach is here to support you throughout your first year. Don't hesitate to reach out with questions; we're happy to help.
Incoming students are required to complete the Academic Information Form ASAP. This helps us enhance the resources you may need for a successful education and student experience. Our academic coaches will use this information to ease your transition to college. You can find the Academic Information Form on Q-Start
If you would like to change or declare your major at any point this summer, please email the Office of Admissions at admissions@qu.edu with your name, student ID number and the major you'd like to change to. Beginning August 25, you can add minors and double majors. Your major is listed in both Self-Service and Stellic. If you changed your major before or during Orientation and you do not see your new major listed, please reach out to the Office of Admissions to confirm your request to change.
The next few weeks will be busy and a little bit stressful — but that is where Q-Start comes in. It is carefully designed with you in mind. It takes the uncertainty away from the on-boarding process and will let you know what you will need to complete and when.
Email qstart@qu.edu with any questions.
There are a lot of exciting opportunities headed your way this summer — most of which will come through your Quinnipiac email. Be sure to set it up and check it often. We also recommend adding it to your phone.
