University honors faculty and staff with Center for Staff and Faculty Excellence awards

Six members of the Quinnipiac community were recognized with the university’s most prestigious faculty and staff honors at Convocation today. They will be honored at the annual Center for Staff and Faculty Excellence ceremony in October.

The following individuals were recognized with the 2026 Faculty Excellence awards:

  • Linda Bedard, clinical assistant professor of physical therapy in the School of Health Sciences

  • Priscilla Fonseca, professor and chair of civil engineering in the School of Computing & Engineering

  • Julia Fullick-Jagiela, professor and chair of management in the School of Business

The following individuals were recognized with the 2026 Staff Excellence awards:

  • John Jacobi, lieutenant of training and professional standards

  • Kevin MacDougall, associate director of telephony, cabling infrastructure and admin services

  • Rosa Nieves, assistant director of academic advising

Nominations submitted over the past two years are considered for awards. During that time, 133 total faculty nominations were received and 128 total staff nominations were received.

Nearly three-quarters of the nominations for the faculty excellence awards came from students, and all nine schools were represented.

Twenty-six departments were represented among the staff excellence awards.
