Karla Natale ’99, MS ’14, associate vice president of community partnerships and university events, said she was excited to have “one of the most iconic brands in the country” at Quinnipiac.
“We are very happy to be able to bring these fun, unique opportunities to not just the students, but the faculty and staff, too,” she said. “We get to walk out on the Quad on a beautiful day like today, see a fun Hershey’s Mini Cooper, pick up some free chocolate and learn about the Quad Lighting next week, set for Tuesday, November 10 at 4:30 p.m.”
John Merritt, a Hershey's ambassador who visited the university, handed out the new affogato and salted caramel creme flavors to hundreds of Quinnipiac students.
“We’re trying to spread the word that they’re around," he said.
The new flavors that launched in September were a pleasant surprise for many students, including 3+1 accelerated, dual-degree student Hannah Peters ’28, MBA ’29.
“I was just walking across the Quad and they offered me a piece of candy,” she said. “It was a friendly interaction. It was a nice surprise to have in the middle of the day — a little pick-me-up.”
